Chipping the edge of 1/2" plate

I'm primarily a metal sculptor but am getting ready to create a bronze sculpture which will include 220 linear feet of 1/2" glass... I will be chipping the edges of this glass for a total of 440 linear feet.

There will be a total of 22 pieces, each with the dimensions of 7" wide x 120" (10') long.

I've NEVER done this before.

I would love some suggestions on techniques or tools.
